Her name is Nina and she is a Miniture St. Bernard/Lab mix. Don't laugh! She definately took after her daddy (the lab) although her brothers look more like the St. Bernard part. Mom was actually a medium dog (guess that is why it was a Mini St. Bernard).

She is all of 7 weeks old and already is pottying outside. She was an outside dog her whole 7 weeks and didn't have a clue how to walk on the tile or the carpet in the house.

We kept her in the bathroom last night and she has this cute little howl when she got lonely or had to go out. She only woke once during the night.

Holly Crap! It is 1:30 am and I am up itching my skin off.

I have been dealing with hives for the past 3 months. For no KNOWN reason, I break out in these ugly red splotches of pure itchyness. They come out of no where and cause me major craziness. Right now I have them on the backs of my thigh - my inner thigh - my outside corner of my left eye and under my left armpit.

I have had them cause my lip to swell on three different occasions. No problem with the breathing so far though. But last week I had to go to the hospital because the hives hit my hand and made my ring finger swell up so fast that I couldn't get my wedding ring off. The finger swelled so big they had to "cut" my ring off my finger.

I have an appointment with an Allergist on Fri and was told not to take any Benadryl for four days prior to the appointment. Benadryl is the ONLY thing that I have found to STOP the itch. So here I am . . . trying to calculate whether 1:30 am counts as Monday.

Screw it! I'm taking the Benadryl.

I was all snuggled in bed nice and cozy like this morning and the phone rings at 7AM!

WTF!

Hubby's boss calling to ask him to come in early. 4 hours early. Someone didn't show up to work. It's a good thing HUBBY was already awake because he would have reached through the phone and strangled the guy if he had woken HIM up. So off he went to work.

I, on the other hand, got myself together and went to the morning matinee. "What Happens in Vegas" was a pretty good movie. It was worth the $5 I shelled out, not to mention the $ on popcorn. Gots to have my movie popcorn! I had Starbuck's for lunch. :)

Since Hubby went in early, he got home early, so we went to dinner with the "kids and granddaughter". Olive Gardens still rocks and we even had a "REAL" italian guy waiting on us.

Just got out of the jacuzzi and are about to head to bed.

Pleasant Valley Sunday.

Is there still anyone out there that reads this? Please give a shout out!

Let's see what has been happening over the past 6 months.

I have AGAIN changed salons. The other new boss just got unbearable. So I quit. Two days later he got fired. But I like my new place so far so I think I will stay for awhile.

Shingles are gone - welcome oesteoarthritis of the shoulders. Yep, BOTH shoulders are screwed. I have been going to Physical Therapy for about 2 months and am getting some of the range of motion back. Has helped with work since I use my shoulders constantly there. (doing hair) So damn, that means I can keep working. LOL

Hubby is working swing shift (12 noon to 10 pm) so we don't see much of each other from Sunday to Thursday. But it is suppose to be only for another month. Hopefully that is true.

Was in Mazatlan in Feb. Loved the place but not so much the people that we went with. I may have to blog about that trip in its own entry.

Now that I upgraded, I have to do a redesign. This is so generic. I just have to figure out how to do it. This version of MT is alot more detailed than the one I upgraded from. May take some time. But if I stick around and blog some I will have to get busy.

Let me know if you are still reading and I will be forced to keep it updated more often.

You probably are seeing all the "test" posts. I am upgrading to MT4 from MT 2.6. It has been a struggle since I had to to a "middle upgrade" to MT3.3 or something like that. That's what I get for not upgrading as the versions come out.

It has been a struggle though. For some reason the CHMOD of some of my files kept changing. But it looks like NOW I have got it working. But for how long. Until another rebuild???? Only time will tell.

Holy Cow! Don't have a cow! I am actually dusting off the ole blog and posting something. Looks like the last time I posted was about 6 months ago. Seems that is the average length between the last few posts.

I don't suppose there are any readers left out there but for those of you who might still be around, I'll give you the run down.

The granddaughters are growing like weeds. And are OH SO MUCH FUN! I have finally found the reason to have kids in the first place. (so they can give you grandkids) If you haven't already you should try it.

I just had to move from my old place of business to a new place of business. HATE IT! Not only the moving but the new place is SOOOO disorganized and I am SOOOO the organized person. But the 3 of us from the old shop all moved together so we plan to make THIS one our own. I think that translates to "We will be taking over now". There is one stylist who is a non-stop talker. He is loaded with misinformation about everything and has shown signs of being a racist/bigot and just a down right idiot. The other "girl" is a chatter box also, but not quite as annoying. The manager has already received the title of "We'll Get You That Tomorrow - But tomorrow never comes" person. All my favorite type of people.

Hubby is great. Cat is great. Me....I have shingles! WHAATTT! JUST WHAT I NEED FOR THE HOLIDAYS. So far, it hasn't been too bad. They are painful but not as bad as my MOM has them. It has been two weeks and I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am sure going to miss those Vicadin induced sleeps at night though.

I have to head off to my GREAT job now.

See you in 6 months.

Damn, does this place need a face lift. I will get right on it. (yeah right!)

When you eat corn on the cob:

Kermit had many names. Little black white and brown dog - Little Buddy - Goofball - Kermie - Big Head Dog and quite often Dumbass.

He was a great dog but he was dealt a bad hand. Him and his 4 siblings were left by the railroad tracks along with their mom, to fend for themselves just after birth. My inlaws found them and took them home to care for them until they could be passed out to family and friends. Hubby just had to have one of the cute puppies and decided on the "noisy" one. He was always "talking". (The puppy not Hubby) Little did we know that later in life he would also "sing" along with Hubby playing his guitar. Three years ago, Kermit developed DISCOID LUPUS. After three years, he finally got too bad and the prednisone was not working anymore. Hence, the decision to put him down.

Kerm was Hubby's buddy. Most of his nicknames contained the word "Little" but that wasn't really Kerm. He was 70 lbs of Austrailian Shepard mix and quite loveable. He was also quite excitable. He loved to have family over and would greet them at the door with barking and yipping. Yes, at times he barked like a girl. But only when he was REALLY excited to see you.

Kerm was awesome with the grandkids. Kayliln and Kerm would play ball until Kaylin wouldn't want to pick up the slimy ball anymore. She called him, Bowdat.

Bowdat you will be missed!

What the fuck was this kid thinking?

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A U.S. tourist who told airport inspectors that dynamite in his bags was a souvenir from South America has been charged with breaking two security laws and could face up to 10 years in prison and steep fines.

A grand jury returned a two-count indictment charging Howard MacFarland Fish, 21, with carrying an explosive on an aircraft and entering an airport in violation of security requirements, U.S. Attorney Don DeGabrielle said in a news release on Wednesday.

Fish, a student at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, was stopped at Houston Intercontinental Airport on August 25 on his way home from Argentina. Customs inspectors found a small stick of dynamite, a fuse and a blasting cap in his bags.

He told investigators he had picked up the items as souvenirs while visiting a silver mine in Argentina.

Carrying an explosive on an aircraft is a felony carrying maximum possible penalties of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Violating airport security is a misdemeanor carrying a maximum year in prison and a $100,000 fine,

No trial date has been set. Fish is free on $75,000 bond.

Woo Hoo! There is something to watch on TV. Big Brother has started and it is an ALL STAR show. They have brought back 14 of the people from past seasons to play this summer. We have all my favorites - Kaysar, Howie, Janelle, and Erika. And of course there are those I hated - Allison, Danielle, Dr. Will, Jase. But it will be interesting to see how the Good Guys and the Bad Guys play it out.

At least there is something to watch on Tues, Thurs and Sunday for the rest of the summer.
