Is it done yet?

No, it isn't!
Altho what they have done so far is beeaauutiful! There is tile on the walls only. They have to "build" the floor so that there is a slight slant for the water to run into the drain. Day off tomorrow, so they will be back bright and early on Monday.

I will not be here!

My mom is having the plate in her ankle removed. See she broke her ankle about 15 or so years ago. It was a pretty bad break and they had to put a plate on the side of her ankle for stability. At the time, she developed a staph infection at the site of the plate insertion. They had to open it up and let it drain. She was hospitalized at that point because if they didn't get the staph infection under control there was a possibility of her losing the foot. Things went well, the staph infection was taken care of and she healed.

Cut to now: She has been having problems with the area where the screw is that holds the plate on for about 6 months. Seem after 6 months of dicking with it the DR. decided that she should see a plastic surgeon. The plastic surgeon said "I am not going to touch that you have an infection" They ran tests and it was a "STAPH INFECTION". Could be the same one that has been lying dormant in her system since the first incident.

SOOOO! to make a long story longer...

They are removing the plate on Monday.

She is suppose to be able to walk on it right after the surgery, but I am preparing for her to come stay with us for a few days if necessary. Which should be interesting because her dog, Sara and my cat Beeker don't like each other. Actually, Sara wants to eat Beeker. Which is kinda funny cause Sara is so mild mannered, it is quite out of character.

But we will survive! (I think there is a song in there somewhere!)
