For Christmas my cat got a new toy. It is a yellow bird that is attached to a long elastic string that hangs from a doorway.
We have it hanging from the vent in the hall so that is can not be knocked down.
THE CAT LOVES IT! He plays with it all day.
But you have to know that my cat is usuallly just a lump of zunt.

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? Party? Dinner? Home?
We will probably be home watching movies and Dick Clark til midnight. Then out the door to bang some pans together and dodge stray bullets and in bed ...
toasty warm by 12:15. Of course, well before midnight the money will be set out on the window sill to bring in more money in the coming new year. "Don't laugh ... it hasn't hurt me yet!

First off I hope EVERYONE had a wonderful Christmas.
Mine was great. But I have sore ribs and a sore jaw.
Was I in a fight you ask? Hardly ...
I just got back from my "LAST" trip to the store. If I don't have it now. . . we don't get it!
Now I have to finish wrapping and get those under the tree.
Then I have to bake "THREE" coffee cakes for the traditional Christmas morning. Have to do three this year cause we won't be getting together this year on Christmas morning (Christmas Eve instead) and everyone needs to have the "traditional coffee cake" for the morning at their house.
I sure hope they appreciate it. :-)

I am ready for Christmas.
I just have to get thru tomorrow at work. (killer day) and then it is party time.
We are doing the In-Law Christmas, Sunday evening. Since it is the only time that EVERYONE can get together before the "other families" get their share of us.
So we will have a little food (acutally alot), a gift frenzy and then a walk around the neighborhood to check out Christmas lights.
Then back to work for a couple of days, then it will be Christmas Eve and before you know it ... it will all be over and it will be 2004!
Let the Games begin!
Shopping wise that is.
The traffic was awful but I got out and got "almost" all my shopping done. I do have a few things to go get tomorrow but I will try to get out bright and early.
I always feel sooo much more "festive" AFTER all my shopping is done.

Well I did! And I poked myself right in the eye. This is what happens when you do that.

That is what I am trying to do since we got back from our trip to California.
I have house cleaning to do, Christmas decorations to put up, Christmas shopping to do, and all this on top of the "regular" routine.
My experimental Dec Photoblog is behind as well. I have the pictures, I just haven't had time to get them resized and posted. Hopefully, I will be able to "Ketchup" this week.

The rat, Saddam Hussein was captured Sat night in a "HOLE" in Tikrit.
No resistance at all. The coward was hiding in a hole and looked like shit. So I can only say that he has been living like he has deserved.
I have been reading a few Iraqi blogs.
to get to the stores and spend some money. So that is exactly what I did.
Got a little of my shopping done today. Got two presents for a party that we are going to on Saturday night. Only took me two hours. :(
At this rate I might be done by New Years Eve.

But now I need a week to get over the vacation. Ended up with a lovely migraine for the plane flight home. And today I am still feeling abit weak in the knees. But work beaconed.
Got my dogs back. Got my cat back. Got my jammies on and am going to relax on the couch for the rest of the day.
