Have you ever gotten a flu shot to prevent the flu? And then gotten the flu a few days later?
Well ... Dogs have the same problem.
I took both the dogs into the vet last Thursday to get their shots updated. Just in case we board them on the day of the wedding. Well now "little old dog" is sick. He has sniffly, sneezy, coughy (sounds like a NyQuil ad) symptoms of Kennel cough.
I called the vet and was told that the Bordetella vaccine is sometimes like the flu shot humans get. Where you can get sick after the shot. So now I have a sicky "old Dog".
I wonder if they make a Doggie NyQuil?
Hope he can withstand the attack on his system. Poor little Old Dog. He is gettin up there...
How old is he now? In his 'teens' in human terms?
