Normally we don't go away on holiday weekends. For several reasons.
The traffic sucks.
All the amatuer drunks are out on the roads, at the lakes and up in the mountains.
And everything is SOOO crowded.
But we are making an exception this weekend.
We are going up to the cool pines to the in-laws new cabin. We won't leave until Sunday morning and are coming back on Tuesday. So we are hoping that we will miss most of the awful traffic that we have here when everyone comes home from the mountains.
It's not going to be all fun and games. We are going to do some "yardwork" but we do plan on getting a little fishing (lots of lakes to choose from), a little gambling (a casino about 8 miles way) and a whole lot of enjoying the rustling of the pines done.
Once we get to the cabin, we don't have to worry about the crowd because they have 3 acres of forest around the cabin. Just awesome.
