This is Your Brain

The part of this article that irks me the most is this line:

"I want to make it clear to you that you are supposed to be in court at 9:30, not 3 o'clock," Jackson said. "Three o'clock is not acceptable. The rule applies to you, the same as it does to everyone else."

Yeah, like if we showed up 5 1/2 hours late for a court hearing OUR BUTTS wouldn't be thrown in jail.

This woman is out of control. What she does to herself is up to her, but she has a young daughter that is having to deal with her downward spiral. Why she still has custody, I just don't understand.

Crossing the T's and Dotting the I's

What a week!

After getting the call about Hubby's brother, Justin, on Monday, the week has been very busy. There were arrangements to be made, a small memorial service to sprinkle the ashes to be set up, and having to deal with relatives that haven't been associated with for 15 or so years.

And during all this upheavel, I helped paint my sis-in-laws livingroom and I had the surgery on my hand on Friday. Which is doing great by the way.

Today, the final detail, was taken care of. We were finally able to get in to clean out Justin's apartment. We went in and packed up all the "stuff" and filled up the bed of Hubby's pickup. Brought it home and began going thru it to clean out the "crap" that was garbage and set aside the things the family might want. Very sad how little there was. A bible, cd's and a tv for Mom, a couple of watches and a electric razor for Hubby, a glass hummingbird dish for grandma. Three bags of clothes for goodwill. Not much to show for 29 years of life.

Quite sad.

Gmail for the Troops

Since everyone seems to have all the Gmail accounts they want, I am giving the rest of my Gmail invites to Gmail for the Troops. I was/am alittle leary about this because it is so new. But I figured I would give it a try. I sent in my info this morning and I am suppose to hear from a person in the military who wants a Gmail account in the next few days.

Has anyone else signed up for this? Has anyone recieved any response?

The idea is great! Given the large storage that Gmail offers, this allows service men and women to get and keep pictures and videos (files to large for Yahoo and Hotmail) from family back home.

So I will let you know what comes of this.

Gmail up For Grabs!

Hey, If anyone needs a Gmail account let me know. I have a few left.

Everything went well with the surgery this morning for my hand thingy. You'll have to look back on past entries if you don't have a clue what I am talking about. But I am higher than a kite now and typing is a bit of a problem with this huge bandage that I have. But I have some good drugs and have slept most of the afternoon. Gonna go back to the couch now. Pain pill has kicked in.

I am a Painter

Bet you didn't know I was a painter!

Okay before you get excited... I am a "Love to paint WALLS" kind of painter. Every room is my house is a different color. I have my blue room (office) that has a faux blue and white upper with a chair rail and a dark blue below. Kitchen is light yellow. Living room: camel, bathroom: faux sponge tan and white, master bedroom: different shades of green. Anyway, I digress.

We are going over to my brother-in-laws house today to paint their livingroom. They have a fairly big house with vaulted ceilings and a HUGE livingroom. (huge by my standards anyway) And me being the amazing interior decorator that I am, (okay, sis-in-law thinks I am, so I am going with it) I am going over to help pick a color and paint the room. I am bringing hubby over to help move furniture and then sit in front of the tv with his brother and to watch the kids.

So we will head to Home Depot for paint and then paint till we drop or til T, my niece's, softball game this evening. I hope to get most of it done today since I will be out of commission tomorrow.

Have to go dig out my paint clothes. Yes, I have special paint clothes. They have multiple colors from the different rooms I have painted over the years. I said I love to paint but I didn't say that I was a clean painter. Hubby always asks "Did you get any on the walls". The walls are covered, I am covered, but I DON"T get anything on the floor. I am THAT GOOD!

So off we go. Painting hopefully will keep my mind off the rest of this week and my surgery tomorrow morning.

Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to paint I go *whistles away*

Happy Father's Day

I remember when I was growing up my dad was the behind the scene guy. He was the one who worked all day, but came home just about dinnertime to ask how things went in my day. On the weekends, he was the one who drove us to the lake, fired up the engine on the boat and took us to the farthest shore. He was the one who's shoulders I would climb up on and skim across the water as he water-skied.

Weeks Update

After looking back over the last week, I found there was alot here that needed updating. So here goes:

Take a look at this post you might notice that I wrote about one of the couples becoming Grandparents. Well sneaky me, that was my way of spilling the beans about E&B making US grandparents without telling the world the "secret" that I was sworn to keep quiet until the blood test were done. I didn't REALLY tell. So sue me!

The "kids" have a dr. appointment on Tues. for the first prenatal visit. We should then be able to narrow the due date down from sometime between Jan 19 - Feb 26.

The puppy has found a new home with one of the neighbors friends. At first the neighbors were talking about keeping her, which I was not real thrilled about. They have had at least 3 "puppies" in the year and a half that they have been neighbors. The puppies seem to disappear about the time they become dogs or start doing puppy things. So maybe the friends will take better care of Skeert. Yeah I named her... got a problem with that?

The Doctors office finally called, well actually I called them Friday afternoon, to schedule the surgery for my hand thingy I have surgery scheduled for next Friday. Yeah, ANOTHER week! Damn, this is getting real old. But at least it is getting settled. I just want to get it over with now.

So that is the week in a nut case... nut shell... what ever. Hope everyone had a great week.

I am a Lemming

I got my First invite to become one of the masses from D over at Just like a Dream. When I told Hubby about it he got so excited and said he wanted one. So checked the blogging community and found that D, still at Just Like a Dream, had a couple more invites. So I begged nicely for another one. She has had like 9 invitations to give out so she was kind enough to give me another.

So now we are a gmail family. Yes, we have become followers of the masses. Like lemmings being lead to the sea. But gmail is kinda cool. I have recieved 3 count them 3 emails so far. WOO HOO! All from Hubby. But then again I haven't given out the address.

Funny ... Not So Funny

The trip to the Dr. yesterday for my hand thingy had a couple of unexpected twists.

I still have it. Not the hand, silly. Well ... yeah I still have the hand, but I also still have the gross thing. The doctor came in and said, "Yes, that needs to be taken out." Ahhh, I think that is what I am here for?

Seems it is going to be abit more complicated than we originally thought. It is going to require out-patient surgery. WOO HOO! With an anethegiologist, therapy after ... the whole nine yards. All for a friggin splinter.

Anyway, I'll live but the best part was before the doctor got in the room.

Off to Explore

No sign of the puppy this morning. I think the neighbors took her in last night. Hubby said she was over playing with them when he got home last night.

What the hell are the neighbors doing out playing with a lost dog at midnight. They are a strange bunch. Not quite as strange as Todd over at Spastik Yak, but the druggie with two kids stay up all night and party with the stereo up so loud the thumping knocks me out of bed, kind of strange.

But at least, I don't have to deal with what to do with the puppy anymore.

Well that is until they wake up at noon to find a puppy in bed with them. Then I am sure it is back out on the streets for her.

UPDATED! What am I Lost and Found!

More Pics in the extended!

Anyone need a dog.

This littel girl wandered into our front yard this morning.

She seems to want to stick around altho she won't let us get to close to her. After she hid herself behind some garbage cans, Hubby went over to her and she growled for him to stay away.

She wags her tail and acts like she wants to have you pet her but she backs away. I believe that she is still a puppy cause her feet are HUGE. Kinda looks like a german shepard mix? So far I have only managed to get her to smell my hand. I don't think she likes men, cause everytime Hubby gets to close she backs away.

What to do?

UPDATES!
She was just hot and tired!

But Officer...

I LOVE Pizza Hut Online

Working on the computer. Getting stuff done. Getting hungry.

OH MY! guess I'll order pizza.

Click Click Click!

Pizza will be here in 30 mins.

...........time passes.

29 minutes later the doorbell rings.

Hubby says, "WHO THE HELL WOULD BE RINGING OUR DOORBELL!"

Me says, "Dinner!"

Hubby says, "RIGHT ON! Where is the dough?"

Me says, "Right on the counter"

Hubby goes off to pay the pizza delivery guy. Comes in saying,
"YUM Pizza! Thank you honey!"

Hubby grabs a couple pieces of pizza and goes back to watch the Pistons whoop up on the Lakers.

How much better can ones night be?

So Here's the Explanation

Remember this post on June 11th.

I left everyone hanging but it wasn't my fault. I was sworn to secrecy after I posted. I was told by the person who called "Don't tell anyone until I get back to you!"

Well they got back to me.....

Reunions are cool!

I just got home from a wonderful evening out with old friends.

And I mean old. These are friends that I went to high school with and their spouses. We try to get together once every few months to catch up on what is going on in each others lives.

So the news is: one of the couples, who have been "together" for 15 years is FINALLY getting married in November. The sinners have been living in "sin" all this time, shame on them. :)

Another couple is going to become "Grandparents" the beginning of next year. WOO HOO! Grandparents are the best people. Talk about a wide spectrum of life experiences.

Its great to touch base with people from your past. Makes you realize where you came from and where you have gotten too in your life.

I feel that I am right where I want to be.

Life is good!

Always following me.

And I am not talking about my grass.

My "pyogenic granuloma" (that sounds so medical, doesn't it?) is getting bigger.

There are still 5 more days till I go have it removed, so it should be about the size of my little finger by then.

I have been trying to keep the little bastard covered with a bandaid since it is so attractive, but with working in water all day, that hasn't been working too well.

For those interested, there is a gross picture to follow. Be warned!

NO MAIL!

Have we always NOT gotten mail on the day a President was buried?

I don't remember that part.

I have a belly ache, mommy!

I was up half the night with a tummy ache and just feeling rather phewy. So I think I am going to take a nap.

And if anyone says "It is prolly that bucket full of popcorn with that real, imitation, artificial butter you ate yesterday at the movies" ... I will probably puke on you.

Good Night!

HARRY POTTER ROCKS!

WE just got back from the 10:30 show at the Cine Capri. Yes, I did say WE. Hubby decided that he would go with me, which was quite a surprise, since he hasn't seen any of the movies OR read any of the books.

He actually liked it. I loved it.

I will not spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but get thee to the movies FAST!

ps the popcorn was awesome.

I Will Be There!

By hook or crook, I will get to the movies and see the new Harry Potter movie. Hubby has no interest in going so I will head on over for the first showing in the morning either tomorrow (Weds) or Thursday. I am excited. I am going to the "New" Cine Capri for the first time. So New theater... New movie what can be better than that.

Wonderful buttered popcorn I don't have to share. :)

Since we have both been so very good this week. we decide to take a small road trip out to Cave Creek. We do this once in awhile, when the craving for Indian Fry Bread gets too strong.

Some of you may not know about Indian Fry Bread. It is a deep fried flat bread that you can either sprinkle with powdered sugar, honey or how we like it ...

But it's just a blood blister!

Remember back on April 28th when we had our big eucalyptus tree removed. (sure of course you do!)

We had to take the side fence down to allow the big root chopper/grinder thing in, to do the root chopping/grinding. As Hubby and I were putting the fence back up, I got a splinter from the wood slats in my hand. No problem, didn't hurt a whole lot. I have a high pain tolerence. :)

If you have a low gore threshhold you might not want to read the rest of this.

Someone Loves Me!

We have been home from the mountains for what 7 hours. . .

I have found that something has bit the shit out of my HEAD. You heard me right. MY HEAD is full of bug bites. I don't think they are mosquito bites, because I usually get all welty with a mosquito bite.

These bites are raised like a whitehead type pimpley things that itch like crazy. The right back side has about 5 bites and that whole back side of my head is really tender to the touch and the muscle that runs down the back of my neck is tender too.

I told Hubby to nudge me once in while tonight when we go to bed just to make sure I am breathing.

But the strange part is that I don't have but one other bite anywhere else on my body.

NO IT ISN"T LICE! I already had Hubby check.

Excuse me I have to go soak my head in Calamine lotion.

Damn the 1st of June is here

Hot as Hell it is already!

We got home from the wonderfully cool mountains about 3 pm just in time to pick up the cat from E's (my youngest son) and hit rush hour traffic. AND the heat of the day.

Welcome Home!

Once we got home, the door unlocked the two dogs and the cat inside, I raced for the thermostat to turn the air down to start the cooling process. Flipped the switch.....

NOTHING!

WTF!

Flipped it again ... again ... again ... NOTHING!

Hubby comes in and says, "It's hot as hell in here, why don't you turn on the air conditioning?"
ME: I AM TRYING! Its not working. WTF? Go check the circuit breaker outside.

Well somewhere between him heading out to do that and him actually doing it. The Air came on. Air Conditioning Repair guy expect a phone call tomorrow.

But for now it is a nice cool 78° in here now. I am happy.
