But it's just a blood blister!

Remember back on April 28th when we had our big eucalyptus tree removed. (sure of course you do!)

We had to take the side fence down to allow the big root chopper/grinder thing in, to do the root chopping/grinding. As Hubby and I were putting the fence back up, I got a splinter from the wood slats in my hand. No problem, didn't hurt a whole lot. I have a high pain tolerence. :)

If you have a low gore threshhold you might not want to read the rest of this.

Well, I tweezed out the splinter and a couple days later it had turned into a blood blister that hurt like hell. So I got a needle and popped it to release some of the pressure.

The sonny bitch bleed like I had just slit my wrist. Didn't want to stop. I put a bandaid over it and it bled right through the bandade. Finally got it stopped bleeding but everytime I did something...anything it would start bleeding again. This went on for about a week. FINALLY, it stopped bleeding but it started to take on a life of its own and started to grow bigger and bigger. Till this.

So after 5 weeks of this thing trying to become my 6th finger, off to the Dr. I went this morning.

It is a pyogenic granuloma. Luckily mine doesn't look like the cases that the link shows. But I do have to have it removed. So I have ANOTHER Dr's appointment on June 16th with an surgeon.

I have actually had this once before on my thumb when I was pregnant with my oldest son. I had to have that one removed and damn near passed out before it was over. Sooooo. I can't wait.

The appointment is two weeks away, so maybe my "growth" will become as attractive as the cases pictured on the link. One can only hope.

PS The bites on my head were from a spider and the dr said they will be fine and to stop scratching them. DOH! But they are feleing less and less itchy.

You have no luck lately! I find the spider bites more disturbing than the hand because spiders give me the heebie jeebies. Ah the hazards of camping. Take care of both "ends" and hope you will be feeling better soon. P.S. This won't affect your BLOGGING hand will it????

YIKES! Gotta go with Debby, I'm more disturbed about the spider bites.
BAH!

Ouch - and Ick!
