Anyone need a dog.
This littel girl wandered into our front yard this morning.
She seems to want to stick around altho she won't let us get to close to her. After she hid herself behind some garbage cans, Hubby went over to her and she growled for him to stay away.
She wags her tail and acts like she wants to have you pet her but she backs away. I believe that she is still a puppy cause her feet are HUGE. Kinda looks like a german shepard mix? So far I have only managed to get her to smell my hand. I don't think she likes men, cause everytime Hubby gets to close she backs away.
What to do?

She is a very playful girl now that the sun is going down and she has had a nap and some water and food.
She isn't afraid of me anymore. She really wants to play.
She looks to be maybe part shepard part something. Her legs seem on the shorter side but her feet are huge. She is still a puppy and has the lovely puppy teeth.
She doesn't like MEN??? Go figure...
I think you should integrate her into the family. She looks like a very nice dog that would get along with Ker... I mean, any other dogs that you may have.

Yes, she definitely looks like she's got GS in her. I'd have to see her standing up to know for certain.
Any luck befriending her some more since earlier?
She is definately more friendly. She is sticking quite close to the carport and bounces around when I come out to check if she is still there. I think you guys need a dog, Nik.
Um, I wish, but it just isn't feasible.
#1 reason - our cats
#2 we're both gone for 12 hours or more at a time four days of the week. It wouldn't be fair to the poor thing to be left alone for so long, even if it was outside.
That's why we have cats. They don't care if they're left alone for hours on end, and don't need to be let outside to do their 'business'. Dogs just aren't conducive to a home where both residents are MIA for long periods of time. :o(
