My client's car was run into in the parking lot at work this morning. I just happened to be sitting chatting with another customer and looking out the front window when this lady pulled into the parking lot. As she was pulling into the parking space she clipped the back bumper of my customers car, I'll call her C. My customer NOT her car. silly
I informed C that her car had been hit and we went out to look. The other lady (also a salon customer but not mine) was just getting out of her car. She came around to look too, saying, "Did I do that?". Well YEAH!
Well, I had my trusty camera and I took some pictures and they exchanged information. But since I am the only one who saw it happen, I guess I am going to be called by the insurance companies. Fun time.
I love being a witness to a crime. Okay, so it's not a REAL crime, but I am still "the only witness". The power!
If you want to see the damage look further.

Woohoo for "trusty cameras"! :) Woah, looks like the lady that hit only has a scrape...
The hitter always has less than the hittee - why is that?
Wonder what she would have done if no one had noticed her hit the car? Would she have just gone on her merry way and pretended nothing happened? I've seen that happen before in a parking lot. This lady just smacked the hell out of car while backing up and she looked around and then just drove off. I got her license number and wrote a note, put it on the wind shield of the car she hit with my telephone number. I never got called though, so don't know what happened.
I was wondering the same thing. But since she was a long time customer of one of the girls, I decided that it wouldn't be good to wait and see if she said anything. So that is why we went out to the cars while she was still getting out of hers.
Pictures have been emailed to both parties. Now we just see if anyone needs the star witness. :)
The crazy thing it...the cost to replace that bumper is going to be astromnomical! But at least insurance will pay for it! :-)
I too kindof like the attention that comes from being a witness. I'm bad about loosing my head about those kinds of things. Like the time I saw some guys going after another guy with crowbars!? What do _I_ do? I run toward them waving my cell phone and gabbering something about calling the cops. Don't NORMAL people hid when crap like that goes on? Not me... I'm yelling license plate numbers at the top of my lungs.
She asked if she did it? She would have had to hit it pretty hard to make it do that.
