I am off to Mom's today. We are going to do some "decorating" things. She bought new furniture for her familyroom and she wants to use the old end tables, so we are going to give them a new look. We will be painting them a lighter brown and and then we will put ceramic tile on the top. (with grout and the whole deal) Mom came up with this idea and I really like it, so I hope that it works as planned.
Then there is the other toilet fixings that we will replace.
So off I go to be Homer Handyman. Ta Taa!

I amazed MrWonderful (The fiance') by taking this old plain unpainted pine armoire, painting it (trust me on this) gold and then giving it an overcoat of off white and crackle glaze. It now looks like a fine antique now. The best part was when his ex came over and saw it. Apparently it HAD been 'theirs' and her snarky little "I like what you did to the armoire " made the whole project even MORE worth it.
