Good Friends - Good Food

Hubby and I went over to our friends, D and G to work on their computer. Their hard drive took a shit. (not literally silly, it just stopped working) And I didn't really work on it I was just there for moral support and to visit.

ANYWAY!

After the hard drive was replaced and the computer was up and running, they took us out to dinner at the "Texas Roadhouse" (beware the link has Willie Nelson on the splash page and he DOESN'T shut up)

All I can say.....

It was GREAT! They give you a bucket of salted peanuts that you can eat while you check out the menu. You are suppose to throw the shells on the floor but Hubby and I found ourselves piling them up on our bread plates. That is until the waitress came along and said, "Here let me get those for you." She then took the plate full of peanut shells and dumped them on the floor. After that I threw the shells with abandon.

The hot fresh rolls with cinnamon butter were to die for also. (Yes, I forgot the diet) This was all before the steaks and ribs arrived. And once they did we were in HEAVEN.

All the food, except, D's steak, was great. Her's was overcooked for her taste and on the dry side. But when the manager came around to ask how things were, we all kind of said "okay", but didn't say anything about the "bad" steak. Pretty soon, the waitress came over and asked if everything was REALLY all right. That he manager said he got some not so good vibes that we were not telling him the whole story. Offered to replace her steak, (that was already about half gone, but she declined) and also told us that we would be getting two desserts for free. WOO HOO! Free dessert!

We finished the meal with a piece of Strawberry Cheescake and Granny's Apple Classic. YUMMY!

We will definately be going back to Texas Roadhouse.

Thanks, D and G for the great dinner and company!

You lost me at the Cinnamon Butter....my mouth is watering..

I shouldn't have read this before lunch. I may have to go early now. I love places that you can eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor.

Wouldn't it be cool to see a hard drive dumping all its parts out...

We have a Texas Roadhouse too. I like it a lot. Surfed in through Blog Explosion.
