My new title is Painting Queen.
We went over to my Sis-in-laws this morning to finish up her livingroom and kitchen painting. I now know that I do not want vaulted ceilings in any house I own. These two rooms are of course the highest peak in the house, easily 16 feet high. Painting ceases to be fun when you are that high on a ladder. (I made SIL do it, she needed the experience.) To add insult to injury, we had to prime the one wall first, cause she picked a deep burnt red color as an accent wall. So it meant double painting. Yikes. But it does look awesome just in time for little Charlie's 1st birthday next weekend.
I also gave Little Charlie his first haircut while I was there. He looks so grown up with his little boy cut.
Next week, I am going over to my daughter-in-law's to help paint the nursery.
See I told you I am the new "Painting Queen".

my husband HATES painting...but the funny part is, he had never painted before he met me (and my mother, with her Honey-Do lists for my step-dad AND my new husband! lol) now he's REALLY good at painting but still HATES it! LOL He's about to put his skill to good use, we're re-painting the downstairs...hehehehehehehe and turning my office into the new baby's room...oh he's gonna HATE me after all this is over with! :-)
Laura always volunteers us to do any painting that anyone has to do. I hate painting!
So I guess asking the "painting queen" for help is out of the question if we ever decide to paint anything in our house, eh?
Painting ceases to be fun period!
