Busy As A Beaver

hee hee she said "BEAVER"!

Christmas was busy enough. Then the flu. Then Mom's birthday yesterday. We surprised her with dinner at the Olive Garden. The boys and wives snuck in on the action and we had an awesome time. We always do when we get together. Lots of laughing and kidding.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Lunch with E (youngest son) in a few. Again, I get to see the kid. I love it. Hubby and him are playing XBox Hockey right now. That is one of the many things Hubby got for Xmas, but I still have to tell you about Christmas morning. Next entry.

Go to see Mother In Law at Brother In Law's house this evening. She is babysitting for the nieces and nephews, so brother and sister in law can have a night out.

Then somewhere in there I have to clean my house, take down all the Christmas stuff, work on a new website I have been asked to design. (for money, big money woo hoo), shop for daughter in laws baby shower next weekend. . . . the list goes on.

I thought that after Christmas it was suppose to settle down.

Oh yeah, I have to find time to spend all the Christmas gift certificates and money that I got as presents.

Life is hard.

Yes, Virginia . . .

tj is alive and sort of well in AZ.

But just barely.

The day after Christmas I came down with what I think was the flu. Fever, puking, massive headache and neckache. I was either in bed or on the couch flat out for two days. (with a bucket since I could bearly make it to the bathroom. I know too much detail)

Hubby has also been battling something. His seems to be more of a head cold/sinus thing but he also has a fever. He stayed home from work on Sunday but insisted on going in Monday only to come home early.

So between the two of us, we have been trying to take care of each other. If someone was able to get up to go to the bathroom, we would refill water/orange juice or bring on the Advil.

I have to drag myself to work this morning so I will have to catch you up on Christmas. It was wonderful. Hubby really did shine this year.

Have a great day.

Merry Christmas! One and All!

Before everything gets all hectic and stuff tomorrow.

I wanted to wish everyone a "Very Merry Christmas".

Make sure everyone has a safe and happy holiday and doesn't drink too much eggnog. And everyone gets everything they told Santa that they wanted.

HO! HO! HO!

American Idol Here We Come

We have a friendly competition going on at our house.

A singing competition.

No, it is not between Hubby and I, cause I can't carry a tune. But that doesn't stop me from singing. It just keeps people from wanting to listen to the radio when I am in the car. But I digress.

Remember Singing/Dancing Santa and Kermit the dog.? Well the cat wants in on the fun.

You Win!

I told Hubby that most of you peoples said I should open the Secret Santa present. He said, "The person who sent it to you paid extra money to have it gift wrapped so you wouldn't know what it was. How do you think they would feel?"

Well I too, added gift wrapping to the Secret Santa gift that I sent. I feel that if MY Secret Santa person wanted to open their present early it would be fine with me. SOOOOO!!!!

I got a Present!

My neighbor dropped by this afternoon. "They" delivered a package to his house by mistake.

It was my Secret Santa present.

Woo Hoo! I am so excited! Secret Santa even had it gift wrapped so now Hubby says I have to wait til Christmas to open it.

What do you think? Should I wait til Christmas to open it or should I just tear into it now?

Yesterday morning, before Hubby went to work, he set my coffeemaker to auto so I would have coffee hot and ready for me when I woke up. (he leaves about an hour before I even think of waking up).

This morning ... there was no coffee hot and ready to drink.

I don't think he loves me anymore.

Tis the Season ... to rush rush rush

Damn I have been busy. But hey who hasn't. Getting the last minute shopping done, working, running to and fro. Visiting with my Grand-Kitties, while "the kids" are away in DisneyWorld.

This week I have to decorate the house for Christmas. I am one of those who doesn't get to it till about 2 weeks before. I love it when I am done but hate doing it.

I also have to get together with J, my daughter-in-laws best friend, to make final arrangements for my DIL's, baby shower, the first part of Jan. J is the most amazing, creative person I know. So I let her do the "decorating ideas" and I foot the bill. It works for me. I am also in charge of the food. I like that. Oh! and cleaning my house for 20 or so people. I don't particularly like the cleaning part of that.

Then I have lunch plans with B on Wednesday. Lunch with MIL and hubby on Thursday. Somewhere in there I have to get busy with my calendars that I make for the families. Complete with pictures that I have taken of everyone thru out the whole year. But that is a fun project for me.

So off I go to visit the GrandKitties before I have to get into work.

HO! HO! HO!

Santa Has Arrived

Hubby and I got caught up in the holiday cheer.

We went out to buy a new "Fake" tree. Along the way, we came across a 5 foot dancing - singing Santa. We felt the need to get him - just to freak out Kermit the dog.

We put ole Santa right next to the brand new beautiful prelit Christmas tree we bought. Well this Santa is motion activated. So everytime the cat or dog walk in front of him, he belts out his own rendition of "Winter Wonderland" or one of the other 4 songs he sings. And I must say that he is pretty damn good.

And yes folks, Kermit sings right along. Barking in his best bark.

Welcome to my Christmas World.

As a child, we took many MANY car trips. We would drive back to WI and MN to visit grandmas and grandpas. So for entertainment we always got "things" to keep us busy in the car. Crayons, color books, comic books. One of the things we loved to get was the MadLib tablets. You know the ones, where you are asked for nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs. Then they are put into a story.

Well Trinity over at Three Things had this for me this morning.

You can do your own at Letter to Santa

Here is mine...

The Season Has Begun!

Hubby and I went to the first Christmas party of the season, last night. This is my favorite party of the year to go to. It is the "Friend" party. Not the business associates party or the neighborhood party but the Party with the people you have known for years and get to see "for sure" at Christmas time. With everyone busy with their own lives, work, kids and "stuff" in general, we don't get to spend quality time with these people thru out the year. Just quick hi and bye and hows life treating you. But this one night we get to sit down and chat about the year and what has been happening. I love it. Good people - Good food - good drink - good laughs and GOOD FEELINGS.

We had a GREAT time.

Smoooooth!

Hubby fixed the sliding glass door.

I damn near threw it slid it across to the neighbors yard. Instead of a two arm tug of war, it is now a one finger slider.

I love my Hubby!

I am getting stuff done right and left this morning.

I love online shopping.

I just ordered my niece's Christmas presents. Hubby and I will be taking them to Disney on Ice, Monsters Inc. These little girls have every toy that was ever made, so we always try to do something where we get to spend time with them.

Also, while cruising "that their internet" I came across info that John Edward psychic extraordinaire, was going to be in Phoenix in March. I love this guy! And YES I do believe in this "stuff". Hubby and I went to LA to see him a couple of years ago and it was an amazing experience even tho we were not read.

My MIL is also a big believer in the psychic medium stuff. And since her youngest son, Justin passed in June, I asked her if she would be interested in going. She jumped at the chance. So I bought tickets for that gallery reading in March of 2005. She was so excited she almost was crying. Another Christmas present taken care of.

Now I am off to breakfast at IHOP with Hubby and then to get a hair cut.

See ya.
