What Do You Pay?

Since the tragic happenings along the Gulf Coast, our gas prices here in Arizona, have soared over .50 cents a gallon. The average prices that I have seen today was $3.19 a gallon. Some stations are gouging bad, charging $3.50 and up. There are some stations that are temporarily closed down because they have NO gas.

Arizona does not have an anti-gouging law in effect. So these "good citizens" who own these stations can charge what they want, everytime there is a major crisis that might make them profit just alittle more than they already are.

Why are these losers allowed to get away with it. I also heard of people in the hurricane stricken areas charging $10 for ice and water. Can you say ASSHOLE!

So what is gas going for in YOUR area of the country? Has it raised substantially since Hurricane Katrina?

Inquiring minds want to know.

When OPEC can pump crude oil out of the ground and barrel it for LESS THAN $5 a barrel, and it is going for almost $70 on the open market, something is wrong.

Oil companies and tycoons DO NOT need more money. But this is giving them exactly that. They already have more than they will spend in their lifetimes, and most likely their children's lifetimes also.

You can tell we are simply being set up to be screwed when the President has waived the MPG laws for auto manufacturers so they can CONTINUE to make the SUVs that get the 3mpg city and 6mpg highway.

Ours was 3.19 but has since dropped to 2.99 the last two days.

Our gas did the same thing, it jumped $.50 overnight and it has been coming back down now, but not as quick as it went up. Go figure. Its not like they didn't already pay for that gas before they raised the prices. Right now I'm seeing prices around $2.88.

Yep, asshole is a good word! I paid $2.86 or something last time at the pump. I haven't paid over $3 per gallon yet. Why is there such a difference in prices? It doesn't seem like there should be.
