You Don't Scare Me!

With Halloween just around the corner, Hubby pulls out all his arsenal of scary stuff. He usally uses it on the dog and cat but now he has another "person" to try it out on.

THE GRANDDAUGHTER!

Check out the picture and you tell me who you think WON that little contest.

Do You Really Want to Know Me?

I stole this from joelle.

1. Name someone with the same birthday as you.

Keifer Sutherland

2. Where was your first kiss?

Hada kissed my hand on the far corner of the playground when I was 6 years old. I didn't wash that hand for a week. I can't seem to remember the first mouth kiss. Must not have been too memorable.

3. Have you ever seriously vandalized someone else's property?

NO. What goes around, comes around. I guess Hubby's vandalizing days are coming back to bite him in the butt now.

4. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex?
Not in anger, maybe a playful slap or spanking or .... better not go there.

5. Have you ever sang in front of a large number of people?

Just in grade school chorus. But NEVER alone. I would NEVER do karaoke.

6. What's the first thing you notice about the preferred sex?

It would have to be the smile or the eyes. I loves me a good smile.

7. What really turns you on?

A long, slow, deep, soft, wet kiss that lasts for three days.

8. What do you order at Starbucks?

A venti caramel frappuccino lite please.

9. What is your biggest mistake?

I don't make mistakes. I make learning experiences.

10. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?

Are you crazy? Never.

The Great Pumpkin

Schnepf's Farm was alot of fun. It is geared toward the younger kids but if you like walking around and taking in the sights and sounds and smells of a working farm ... this is it.

There is food - yummy chili, a petting farm, pedal cars, flying bee carnival ride, hayride, homeade ice cream, bouncy things for the kids, and of course the two different corn mazes.

All in all, a fun day on the farm.

Also a pumpkin patch.

Great Pumpkin

Taylor, Kaylin and Charlie. Megan was off looking for the "Great Pumpkin".

Green Acres is the Place to Be

Today we are off to Schnepf's Farm . Hubby, baby K and I are heading over to the farmland to hang out with the "other" part of the family. No, not the pigs and cows, but Hubby's brother and family.

Should be a day of good smells (fresh baked pies), bad smells (cows and pigs don't REALLY smell very good) chili, pig races, puppet shows and maybe even a rollercoaster.

OH! And don't forget the corn maze. I love mazes.

How Are You Getting Here?

I have noticed a huge increase in my Blog traffic.

I first noticed it when I saw on my hit counter, that I was getting close to having my 10,000 hit. I thought I would do a BIG post about the "10,000 customer" something really exciting. (yeah right!) I figured that I had a few days to think of something clever to write.

But it happened overnight.

So I checked my counter stats, (which I really don't do very often) and notice a BIG increase in new traffic.

NO idea WHERE it is coming from. My Referrer list says something about ClickTracking. Anyone know what that is?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

So if you are surfing into my blog from somewhere, if you could just do a quick comment to let me know WHY I am getting all this attention. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you - you can go back to what you were doing now.

Go Away! Not You!

What the heck is up?

I haven't had spam comments on my blog in months and then today I get 15 comments telling me about all the "goodies" there are out there for me to find, use, look at or eat.

Hope this isn't a new trend!

I just won a $10 gift certificate for iTunes from Blingo!

Good thing I got an iPod for my birthday.

What songs should I download? I am up for suggestions.

I am so going to get busy and retire Curious George. First I have to come up with an idea on what to do.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Come on you know you want to help. Don't be shy!

I'll give you something! I have no idea what, but if I use your idea, I will send you SOMETHING!

Give a girl some help here.

Amarillo by Morning

Wait. We never made it to Amarillo. We ended up going as far as Vega, Texas. About 30 miles west of Amarillo. Just a little po dunk town with a Best Western.

We made it to the Midway point of Route 66 in Adrian, TX. So we accomplished our goal. Next year, we may fly to Chicago and do it the right way. East to West and go the whole way.

We are home now. We drove 11 hours and a little over 700 miles to get here.

It IS nice to be home with OUR bed, OUR animals and OUR desks.

Santa Fe, New Mexico

We have made it to Santa Fe. Still have to check to see how much further we can go before we have to turn around and head home.

Check out the pictures at the Route 66 site.

So Much for LA

We just spent the last 81/2 hours driving 198 miles. LOL Most of it was LA traffic along Route 66. That is basically Santa Monica Blvd. We are in Barstow, CA holed up in a Best Western.

Wasn't much of the good old "feel" of the Route 66. Surely didn't get a "KICK" out of THAT part of it. But there is always tomorrow.

Check out the pictures for today at Route 66.

Disneyland Rocks!

We are exhausted and waiting for Chinese food to be delivered to our hotel room. The bastards are 15 mins late already. That was after an hour wait in the first place.

There are more pictures up on the Route 66 site so head on over and check them out.

Route 66 Here We Come

Hey, head on over to my vacation page, we are traveling. Where you might ask? We are going to be doing Route 66 starting in California and heading East as far as we can go in our allotted time frame.

First stop - Disneyland/California Adventure. We are there now. Go have a look.
