My mom sent me an email and even though it is not exacty what Tony Blair said and he wasn't the FIRST person to say something along these lines - it IS the truth.
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in ... and how many want out."

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A U.S. tourist who told airport inspectors that dynamite in his bags was a souvenir from South America has been charged with breaking two security laws and could face up to 10 years in prison and steep fines.A grand jury returned a two-count indictment charging Howard MacFarland Fish, 21, with carrying an explosive on an aircraft and entering an airport in violation of security requirements, U.S. Attorney Don DeGabrielle said in a news release on Wednesday.
Fish, a student at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, was stopped at Houston Intercontinental Airport on August 25 on his way home from Argentina. Customs inspectors found a small stick of dynamite, a fuse and a blasting cap in his bags.
He told investigators he had picked up the items as souvenirs while visiting a silver mine in Argentina.
Carrying an explosive on an aircraft is a felony carrying maximum possible penalties of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Violating airport security is a misdemeanor carrying a maximum year in prison and a $100,000 fine,
No trial date has been set. Fish is free on $75,000 bond.
Now, I am all for a good cup of coffee.

I love the smell of coffee brewing and I love my first cup of coffee in the morning. I'll spend the $4.50 for my Carmel Frapuccino's during the day. I even have Gevalia Coffee sent to my door each month to the tune of is $7 for 8 ounces. Coffee is addicting.
But would you pay $175 for a pound of coffee beans which had passed through the backside of a furry mammal in Indonesia?" This is suppose to be Good Coffee"?
Me, not so sure!
Anyone know where I can get an X Box 360 that went on sale today? And no I won't pay $700 for one.

Bird Nearly Ruins Dominoes Record AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A sparrow knocked over 23,000 dominoes in the Netherlands, nearly ruining a world record attempt before it was shot to death Monday, the state news agency reported. The unfortunate bird flew through an open window at an exposition center in the northern city of Leeuwarden where employees of television company Endemol NV have worked for weeks setting up more than 4 million dominoes in an attempt to break the official Guinness World Record for falling dominoes on Friday night.
Only a system of 750 built-in gaps in the chain prevented the bird from knocking most or all of the dominoes over ahead of schedule, "Domino Day" organizers were quoted as saying by the NOS news agency.
The bird was shot by an exterminator with an air rifle while cowering in a corner.
The organizers are out to break their own record of 3,992,397 dominoes set last year with a new record of 4,321,000.
Poor bird! Cowering in the corner. Why not catch it with a net? Dorks!
Since the tragic happenings along the Gulf Coast, our gas prices here in Arizona, have soared over .50 cents a gallon. The average prices that I have seen today was $3.19 a gallon. Some stations are gouging bad, charging $3.50 and up. There are some stations that are temporarily closed down because they have NO gas.
Arizona does not have an anti-gouging law in effect. So these "good citizens" who own these stations can charge what they want, everytime there is a major crisis that might make them profit just alittle more than they already are.
Why are these losers allowed to get away with it. I also heard of people in the hurricane stricken areas charging $10 for ice and water. Can you say ASSHOLE!
So what is gas going for in YOUR area of the country? Has it raised substantially since Hurricane Katrina?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Something about this REALLY stinks! Okay, that was bad but this is worse.
Peeping Tom Pulled From Outhouse Tank Tue Jun 28, 6:38 PM ETALBANY, N.H. - A 45-year-old man was arrested after a teenage girl found him staring at her from below an outhouse seat, police said. Police said they pulled Gary Moody, from Gardiner, Maine, from the waste tank under a log cabin outhouse on Monday.
"We had to decontaminate him," said Capt. Jon Hebert of the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, adding that firefighters hosed the man down before police handcuffed him. "We treated him as if he were hazardous material," Hebert said.
Moody was charged with criminal trespass. Hebert said he could face more charges.
Moody was freed on bail for a July 19 appearance in Northern Carroll County District Court in North Conway.
Sick! Sick! People in this world!
I'm not so sure!

Minor league hockey is coming back to Phoenix.
From 1997-2001, Phoenix had a minor league hockey team called the Phoenix Mustangs. Before that there was The Roadrunners. Both teams folded after a few seasons trying to compete with the Phoenix Coyotes.
Hubby and I had season tickets to the Mustangs and we sat right on the glass. (the tickets were dirt cheap) So for four years we went to every game and cheer the team. We even had the opportunity to watch them win the WCHL championship in 2000. It was awesome. When they closed up shop at the end of the 2001 season we were really bummed.
The new "news" is that the old Roadrunners name has been bought out by none other than the "Colangelo's". They brought us the Suns, the Diamondbacks and the America West Arena. So we will again have minor league hockey in the valley of the sun.
Season starts in October. No news on ticket prices, but they are claiming to be low enough for families to enjoy.
We have put down deposits for two seat on the glass so we will be one of the first to get to pick out seats. Hubby is so excited he could just spit.
Woo Hoo!
I was so glad to wake up this morning to hear that the election in Iraq went better than expected. I was concerned that the turn out would be low.
Think about it. If we were under threat of violence here on election day...would you have gone to the polls? I would have. This only proves to me that the Iraqi people are not that different than we are. They too want to have a say in what is going to happen to their country. Willing to fight for it.
I read a couple of Iraqi blogs and this post from "The Mesopotamian" hit the nail right on the head for me.
SUICIDE BOMBERS V. SUICIDE VOTERS
Greetings Friends,I bow in respect and awe to the men and women of our people who, armed only with faith and hope are going to the polls under the very real threats of being blown to pieces. These are the real braves; not the miserable creatures of hate who are attacking one of the noblest things that has ever happened to us. Have you ever seen anything like this? Iraq will be O.K. with so many brave people, it will certainly O.K.; I can say no more just now; I am just filled with pride and moved beyond words. People are turning up not only under the present threat to polling stations but also under future threats to themselves and their families; yet they are coming, and keep coming. Behold the Iraqi people; now you know their true metal. We shall never forget the meanness of these bas…s. After this is over there will be no let up, they must be wiped out. It is our duty and the duty of every decent human to make sure this vermin is no more and that no more innocent decent people are victimized.
My condolences to the Great American people for the tragic recent losses of soldiers. The blood of Iraqis and Americans is being shed on the soil of Mesopotamia; a baptism with blood. A baptism of a lasting friendship and alliance, for many years to come, through thick and thin, we shall never forget the brave soldiers fallen while defending our freedom and future.
This is a very hurried message, while we are witnessing something quite extraordinary. I myself have voted and so did members of my family. Thank God for giving us the chance.
Salaam for now

Thanks Alaa for putting it so perfectly.
Not real fuzzy but read on.
About 2:30 a.m. this morning, the city of Phoenix learned that water leaving its Val Vista plant is violating some federal standards. This was caused by the increase of mud, sludge and other particulates in the water run-off from recent storms. .:The health and safety of our customers is our number one priority. And our water engineers have assured us that the risk of contamination is low. But in order to be extra cautious, we are asking Phoenix residents to boil their water or use bottled water until noon Wednesday, Jan. 26. .:
This includes any water used for drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation, making ice cubes, and washing dishes. Residents can feel comfortable in showering in the water.
We also are asking residents to conserve water by taking short showers and not watering their lawns as the city continues to refill its reservoirs with clean water.
This morning, I found this out AFTER I got to work. This of course was AFTER I had my coffee (from tap water), took a shower and brushed my teeth, filled up the animals water jug (from the tap) and ate an apple that I washed from the faucet.
We do have two 5 gallons jugs of bottled water that I have used the rest of the day. It's funny how much you take having water running out of the faucet, for granted.
Did you know that as of Dec. 1st 2004, you are able to receive a credit report for FREE! Me either! That is until my bank sent me the information in the mail.
A recent amendment to the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. You can order your free annual credit report online at www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling 877-322-8228.
I found out you must type the url into your web browser instead of just clicking the linkThis website is the ONLY authorized source for your free annual credit report from the three consumer reporting companies.
With all the credit fraud out there it is always a good idea to check your credit report every year. And now you can do it for FREE!
This has been a public service announcement! Carry on!
p.s. I don't suppose this applies to any other country but the U.S.A. Sorry.
Doing my normal routine this morning, coffee, laundry, online news stories. I came across this.
Now my question to you is. . . What would YOU have done if you were these guys and had found the purse? Okay! Now would you have done the same thing if you KNEW there was $43,000 inside?

If anyone can tell me WHY someone at 57 would want to have a child, please enlighten me.
When her twins are entering kindergarten, she will be about retirement age.
When the twins start High School, she will be 71. Older than most of the other kids grandmas.
When her kids become legal (21 in USA) she will be 3 years shy of 80.
Did this woman EVER think of what "the Kids" would have to go thru having a mother that age?
Selfish is the only word I can come up with.
I found this over at St. Family
"Christian Mom Thinks "BLOG" is a Euphemism for Sex"
I thought it was too funny to NOT pass on. The full article is in the extended.
Make sure you read to the final paragraph. That is the best.
For some reason I found this kind of funny.
Kerry Stops in Texas Without Knowing It
I thought that the waitress and the cop might be pulling the Kerry groups leg. So I did some research of my own.
Looks like THEY know where they are. :)

Christopher Reeves passed away today after having lapsed into a coma on Saturday.
Christopher fought a long tough battle since his horseback riding accident 9 years ago. He lived 9 years longer than he was ever expected to live.
God bless Christopher and his family.
So everyone and their mother knows that the Olympics are going on right now. There is no way to avoid them.
But I bet you didn't see any of these guys and girls there.

Damn, that hurts!
Should I feel bad because I can't stop replaying these and laughing?
I just saw this on Downtown Chick Chat and it made me laugh.
Real hard.
How often do you get a shot like that? Literally.
in no way does this represent my own feelings of John Kerry
:)
The part of this article that irks me the most is this line:
"I want to make it clear to you that you are supposed to be in court at 9:30, not 3 o'clock," Jackson said. "Three o'clock is not acceptable. The rule applies to you, the same as it does to everyone else."
Yeah, like if we showed up 5 1/2 hours late for a court hearing OUR BUTTS wouldn't be thrown in jail.
This woman is out of control. What she does to herself is up to her, but she has a young daughter that is having to deal with her downward spiral. Why she still has custody, I just don't understand.

This is quite amazing.
Lois Jarvis made this quilt from pictures of those who died in the World Trade Center. She had their pictures printed on material and made it into a star quilt. Make sure you zoom in to see detail of the center.

Makes me feel pretty good about how MY day went!
I just got one of those annoying "We are conducting a Survey" phone calls just now. This was one of those "recorded" calls. It was about abortion and was suppose to be quick. So I decided I would go along with it.
This friendly womans voice said, "If you are ProLife and are against abortion please press 1." ..... I waited.
Then she said, If you are ProChoice and believe it is a womans choice to end a pregnancy, press 9. "
I pressed 9.
I couldn't believe my ears.
I don't understand why people are surprised!
I don't understand why the waste of time and money.
The charge was "Leaving the scene of a serious injury or fatal accident" ...
Well! Doh! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID!
His defense of "It never crossed my mind it was a person!" Bull shit!
THEY GOT THE SON OF A BITCH!
The rat, Saddam Hussein was captured Sat night in a "HOLE" in Tikrit.
No resistance at all. The coward was hiding in a hole and looked like shit. So I can only say that he has been living like he has deserved.
I have been reading a few Iraqi blogs.
Normally, when I read in the news about an entertainer or famous person dying or having an accident I think to my self, "So sad, that's too bad".
But since I read about Roy Horn's (of Siegfried and Roy) "accident" on Friday, October 4th, I have been haunted! And I am not sure why!
